An Evening with Wayne Grady
Pelee Island, ON: In coordination with the University of Windsor, The Pelee Island Bird Observatory and Margaret Atwood are hosting an Evening with Wayne Grady on May 7, 2014 at the Beach Grove Golf and Country Club at 7 p.m.
Grady is the author of Emancipation Day, a novel that tells the story of a marriage, during the Second World War, of a black man passing for white, and a white woman who knows nothing about his past.
This event is a great opportunity to listen to the words of Windsor born Wayne Grady, and to meet author Margaret Atwood. We are optimistic that 150 people will attend the evening, which will be joined with light music playing in the background while Mr. Grady is reading parts of his novel for the audience.
The Pelee Island Bird Observatory is an NGO devoted to the study of migration and conservation of birds. Located at the southernmost tip of Canada, Pelee Island in Lake Erie hosts a tremendous variety of North American birds.
